Jérôme Guillet's work is oriented toward his quest for emotion. Each work captures the eye and invites us to dream. These poetic landscapes exude a deep sensitivity that touches the heart.
This emotion is conveyed on canvas through the use of several types of contrasts: the blurred background contrasting with a sharp foreground, chiaroscuro, and small touches of complementary colors that, in addition to making the work vibrate, add a touch of substance to the smooth surface of the canvas. Reflections, present throughout his works, lend a remarkable power of attraction.
His paintings are figurative, almost photographic, but Jérôme Guillet is careful not to create hyperrealism and blurs the lines as one approaches the canvas.
